The specs may not be as impressive, but do I regret my purchase. I'm probably getting 12 hours on a full charge and it seems to take 1 hour to get to 90% (if you're not using the laptop while it's charging). I don't use the touch screen at all so I actually turned it off to save battery life. Charges up super quick and then battery really does last long. This laptop is super light weight compared to other 15' laptops. Laptop works great, can't tell a difference in speed at all. I mostly (90%) use it for watching movies and surfing the net. Honestly, for everyday use you'll never be able to tell the difference. People like to get caught up in ram and performance, etc. I had a dell 9510 but had two defective units so I gave up on getting one and started looking for something else. Build quality is superb, only thing I wish I had was a slightly bigger trackpad. This laptop is the closest thing you'll get to a mac without being a mac.
